Battlefield 6 BR Mode Launches Very Soon as a F2P Game Mode

Following a long period of speculation, the battle royale experience for BF6 is finally launching. Recent talk indicating its debut would happen alongside the first season were accurate. Players can access the mode starting very soon.

Season 1 Adding a New Map, Style, and Weapons

In tandem with the battle royale mode, Season 1 is also kicking off. This adds a brand-new arena, a fresh game type, and an expanded arsenal. What's more, the Redacted Sector is making its debut. An embedded trailer will go live at launch, providing players a glimpse of what's to come.

Complimentary Model Enables Battle Royale Open to All

Possibly the most significant detail is that Battlefield Redsec will be free-to-play. Similar to other offerings, you won't require to own the base game to join in. A number of participants have already tried pre-release builds of the mode. Those trials were held in a collaborative space, which the studio described as their most ambitious fan involvement initiative.

The adrenaline rush when facing another squad is unique in other battle royale. It's like a true survival situation, and you actually care if you live or perish.
Despite being a critic earlier, I'm fully supportive of the battle royale after playing it.

These first impressions from participants have been very positive. Of course, the mode may have evolved over the past couple of months in terms of game balance and tempo. Still, early signs are strong that the battle royale could become a genuine alternative to leading titles. Some are wishing that the most effective firearms from the base title will carry over in the battle royale.
