Loyal followers of the actress are demanding that a individual who breached a fence and grabbed the actress during Thursday's Wicked: For Good launch be arrested or expelled from Singapore.
A circulating video depicts the individual from Australia bypassing photographers and lunging at Grande while the performers walked down a event pathway flanked by supporters.
Cast member Cynthia Erivo quickly pulled the shocked star away from Mr Wen, who was observed being led away of the event by security officers.
Mr Wen stated on Instagram recently that he was "released after being detained", though court documents revealed that he was due to be present on Friday morning. It is uncertain if he was formally accused.
This is not the first time for Mr Wen, who labels himself a "Notorious Troublemaker", has disrupted a performance. His Instagram feed includes videos of him disturbing other star-studded functions, including rushing the platform at Katy Perry's Sydney performance in earlier this year and in a similar way during The Chainsmokers concert in the same location last year.
"Measures must be taken taken against him as this is obviously a punishable act," wrote an Instagram user, in a message to a video Mr Wen shared of his act.
"Oh wow so you do this a lot... how aren't you in jail?" one Instagram user remarked.
Many followers blamed Mr Wen for "re-traumatising" Grande, who had discussed suffering from PTSD after a devastating incident at the finale of her 2017 show in Manchester, claiming the lives of 22 people and wounding many.
"The star has endured numerous terrifying experiences... including the Manchester tragedy, and you believed breaching security was amusing?" wrote another message on Instagram.
Several fans also questioned security officers at the Thursday event for not being adequately prepared; while others demanded social media platforms to remove Mr Wen's videos.
In footage circulating online, Grande seemed startled when she was touched by the man. Her cast members Michelle Yeoh and Erivo can be seen comforting her while Mr Wen was led out by staff.
Grande has not issued a statement on the situation, and the remaining proceedings proceeded as normal.
Numerous of fans had congregated in a crowd of emerald and rose at the Wicked: For Good international debut in a Singapore mall, including a number who had stood in line for as long as a significant duration before it commenced.
The motion picture, to be premiered on November 21, is the sequel of a dual adaptation of the popular stage show Wicked, which revolves around the surprising friendship between two contrasting witches.
The show itself is a spin-off of the classic book The Wonderful Wizard of Oz.
Grande, who plays the benevolent sorceress Glinda, was decked out in a rosé glittering gown at the gathering while Erivo, who portrays the Elphaba, wore a elegant ensemble featuring roses.
They were accompanied by cast member Jeff Goldblum.
The previous installment, Wicked, was the highest-grossing motion picture of the previous year in the UK, and received ten award recognitions, winning two for excellent wardrobe and production design.
