Arsenal's ten-match victorious run came to an end by the Black Cats prior to the international hiatus, however can the Premier League leaders bounce back against local foes Tottenham this Sunday?
"{I feel like Arsenal are miles ahead of Tottenham currently but Spurs manager Thomas Frank will have a plan for this match," remarked football expert Chris Sutton.
"Frank will attempt to neutralize Arsenal, who have not always been at their sparkling finest this campaign - but Mikel Arteta's team typically still find a way to win."
Sutton is forecasting results for all 380 Premier League fixtures this term, versus AI, fans and a range of guests.
For the twelfth round, he takes on singer Olly Murs, who is a United supporter.
Murs' latest record, the new release, is available on the weekend.
Olly is a talented footballer as well as a accomplished artist and has been a star of several Soccer Aid games over time - but he is not planning a serious comeback as a footballer.
"{I actually played in a charity game the other night for a mate of mine," he said. "The team was losing 3-1 when I was substituted in the 60th minute, and they went on to win 4-3, so you can read into that what you want!
"I still love football, but I hurt my joint a few years ago and it even now isn't where I want it to be. I hope I could play more but the uncertainty of the game means it's too dangerous for me in my career to do it properly again.
"Additionally I am 41 now, and we are not all Cristiano Ronaldo, are we!? No, I am very content not playing football and I am preparing for the time that my daughter or boy chooses to play instead."
Murs and his wife his partner have two children, their daughter and Albert, and he is prepared to follow in his father's footsteps by becoming their manager.
"I will not force football on our kids but I've already told Amelia that if they do get the bug for it then I will have to go and get my coaching badges - and I will likely be managing their Saturday football team," he said.
"I watched my relatives play a lot, and I really got into it, and I obviously was involved with a football club for a period too.
"My dad did it with us when I was a kid, which is likely where I inherited it. He coached our side for several years and had a wonderful time with it. That could be the future for me as well, and I am looking forward to it!"
Chelsea may have to be patient for Cole Palmer's return from fitness issues but their offense is already stronger with Joao Pedro and Delap both back fit.
I still think this game will be quite tight, though. Burnley are disciplined and their only home losses so far have been against Liverpool and Arsenal.
This smells of a one-all tie to me, but I am in fact going to go with the London side to win narrowly for what would be their third consecutive league win in a row.
The expert's prediction: 1-2
Olly's prediction: Chelsea will be too strong. 1-3
AI's outlook: 0-2
Bournemouth have lost their past two games - albeit both of them were away - but they got thoroughly beaten by Aston Villa last time out which shocked me.
In contrast, the Hammers secured back-to-back victories before the international break and, although both of those games were at home, they do look competitive again.
The Hammers' sole away victory this season came at Forest in August, when their manager Nuno was still Forest manager.
So, what on earth do I go with here - can the Hammers extending their streak under Nuno, or the home side bouncing back?
I am going to choose Bournemouth, because I think what happened against Aston Villa was a anomaly.
Sutton's prediction: 2-0
Olly's prediction: The home team are doing well but the visitors have improved under Nuno. 2-2
AI's prediction: 1-1
The Bees were seen as one of the frontrunners for the drop before the campaign began, but they have surprised a few observers under their manager and are in fine fettle with three in their last four games.
My son advised me to select Bees striker Thiago in my fantasy soccer team a few weeks back and, guess what, I didn't listen.
Thiago will probably find the net again on Saturday but I am still not going to pick him or support the away side at Brighton's ground.
They have not had great fortune on the travel this season, and the Seagulls are always decent at home. Brentford will try to hit them on the counter-attack but I feel the home manager's team pose much more of a danger.
Sutton's prediction: 2-1
Olly's view: It could be a match where you expect there is going to be a many scores but it in reality proves to be quite close. 1-1
The computer's prediction: 2-1
This is a massive fixture for the Cottagers, who have lost five of their last six matches.
They have got lots of quality in their team but it nonetheless seems like they could be dragged into a relegation fight.
Regarding the Black Cats, well they are the unexpected success of the top flight season so far.
The away side's display in the two-all tie with Arsenal last time out was superb. We have not witnessed any other team rough up the North London side like that this season, and they were fully competitive for them.
The sensible thing to do to support the Black Cats here, because they are clearly able of disrupting Fulham up too and, the previous occasion they were in this part of London, they beat the Blues at the close of last month.
But I am not going to choose that. Instead, I really need to continue opposing Sunderland with my forecasts. I am taking a lot of credit for their positive outcomes because they evidently love to prove me wrong.
Looking at the home side's at Craven Cottage record, the sole side they have been defeated by is Arsenal. Their manager's team will be extremely desperate for a positive outcome, so I am going to predict they will secure three points.
The expert's prediction: 1-0
Olly's prediction: I know Sunderland are doing well and also that the hosts are on a bad streak... but they have still been respectable at Craven Cottage this season. 2-0
The algorithm's outlook: 2-0
It is a hard fixture to predict. Liverpool have lost seven of their last ten matches in all competitions, but might they be among the teams who benefit from the {international break|
