Six Arrested After 12 Million Euro Heist on Gold Refining Lab in the French Republic

Six armed perpetrators equipped with high-powered firearms detonated charges to breach the security of a gold refining laboratory located in Lyon, France, resulting in minor injuries to five workers during what appears to be the latest high-profile daytime heist to hit the nation.

The bold operation took place on the afternoon of Thursday, with officers swiftly apprehending the suspected perpetrators and retrieving the loot valued at approximately €12M (10.5 million pounds), according to officials.

Five staff members of the precious metals facility received light wounds as a result of the detonation, and three of them were taken to a medical facility for examination, according to regional authorities. Twenty-eight employees were inside the facility when the robbers attacked.
