Trump Welcomes Loved Ones of Shot Guard Soldiers to White House

President Donald Trump announced on Sunday that he has invited the relatives of a Guard member tragically killed last week to come to the presidential home.

He noted that he spoke to her family and they were “deeply grieving”.

Information on the Tragic Shooting

Soldier Beckstrom, 20, was lost her life in a attack on last Wednesday in DC.

Her comrade, US air force staff Sgt Andrew Wolfe, twenty-four years old, is still in the hospital in grave state.

Vigils across the state have taken place in their memory.

Presidential Call

The president explained he’s talked about a visit to the White House for the parents of both members of the West Virginia National Guard.

“I said: ‘When you’re prepared, because that’s a hard experience, arrive at the White House. We’re going to honor Sarah,” Trump told journalists. “And likewise with him, recover or not.”

Community Response

Mourners came together over the weekend at a local school in the state to remember Beckstrom.

Both the soldiers had been fulfilling duties with the West Virginia National Guard as part of the president’s government program to aid public safety in DC.

Remembering the Soldier

“Sarah was the type of pupil that instructors desired. She behaved with inner fortitude, a contagious smile and a positive energy that lifted people around her,” the principal, the leader of Beckstrom’s former high school, stated to the press. “She was caring, compassionate and always willing to help others.”

Service details for Beckstrom are still being arranged.

Judicial Actions and Government Revisions

Officials have accused a twenty-nine-year-old suspect with one count of murder and two counts of violent assault while carrying a weapon.

The event caused the government to halt asylum applications and temporarily stop providing entry permits to owners of passports from Afghanistan.

Condition of Andrew Wolfe

Andrew Wolfe, a native of the city, began his service in 2019 and is a 2019 graduate of Musselman High, according to the Associated Press.

He continues to receive treatment and is “in a critical fight”, the state’s leader Patrick Morrisey mentioned on a news program.

The state’s top lawyer Pam Bondi stated on Fox News Sunday that she planned to meet with the family.

Memory of Beckstrom

Beckstrom, from her hometown, completed her education from Webster County high school in June 2023 and joined the military shortly after, serving as a MP with distinction, as stated by the West Virginia National Guard.

“She had a lot of kindness and she absolutely had courage,” the governor addressed the audience at the vigil. “Though her life ended too soon, she has created a legacy that’s going to last forever.”
